GIFTS THAT GIVE BACK ~ Save the Children and IKEA

Cuddly, soft toys – we’ve all loved one. Money raised from the sales of IKEA soft toys is helping children around the world go to school.

IKEA has partnered with Save the Children to offer adorable stuffed soft toys under $10. For every toy sold, 1 euro (approximately $1.35 US dollar) will go to Save the Children and UNICEF to extend and start new children’s educational programs in 22 countries.

The IKEA Soft-Toy campaign began in 2003 and has since raised over 23.8 Million euros for UNICEF and Save the Children ($30 Million USD). Since that time, this program has benefited eight million children in developing countries by giving them the ability to have a better education.

With soft toy prices ranging from just $0.49 to $19.99, these cuddly toys make perfect stocking stuffers, grab bag items and affordable gifts for all of the children on your list. This year, for the first time, the final week of the promotion (December 18th-24th) IKEA will also make a donation of €1 (approximately $1.30) for every IKEA children’s product sold and also for one kids menu item in the IKEA restaurant!
